Regenesis Products
A long time developer of environmental remediation products, Regenesis has developed numerous products, all of which we have injected under various conditions. They specifically recommend us for challenging sites because they know our techniques apply their product more effectively and economically than any other delivery system. We often work with Regenesis personnel to help develop a total package for the client, including the proper material, dose and delivery parameters. This takes a lot of risk out of the equation for the consultant.
Oxygen Release Compound (ORC®) is a proprietary formulation of phosphate-intercalated magnesium peroxide that, when hydrated, produces a controlled release of oxygen for periods of up to 12 months on a single application.
ORC is typically applied as a slurry. Thherefore, we have a large capacity slurry pump that can introduce the material at pressures at up to 2,000 psi and 20 gallons per minute. Once in the aquifer, tiny ORC particles can sorb to or reside in the soil matrix and produce a controlled release of oxygen for periods of up to 1 year.
3-D Microemulsion (3DMe)™, a form of HRC Advanced®, is a revolutionary new product offering the most advanced hydrogen releasing technology available – at a price point equal to that of lesser performing simple commodity products. 3DMe is a product designed specifically for the low-cost in-situ treatment of chlorinated solvent based contaminants.
3DMe incorporates the proven Hydrogen Release Compound (HRC®) patented technology in addition to an entirely new and unique patented molecule (patent pending) that is specifically designed to time release a combination of highly efficient electron donors. Additionally, 3DMe was designed with a relatively high hydrophilic/lipophilic balance (HLB), allowing dilute suspensions to be well distributed across contaminant plumes without the high injection costs.
RegenOx is an advanced chemical oxidation technology that destroys contaminants through powerful, yet controlled chemical reactions and not through biological means. This product maximizes in situ performance while using a solid alkaline oxidant that employs a sodium percarbonate complex with a multi-part catalytic formula. RegenOx directly oxidizes contaminants while its unique catalytic component generates a range of highly oxidizing free radicals that rapidly and effectively destroy a range of target contaminants.
A RegenOx application will remove significant amounts of contamination from the subsurface and is typically applied using direct-injection techniques. The application process enables the two part product to be combined, then pressure injected into the zone of contamination and moved out into the aquifer media. Once in the subsurface, RegenOx produces a cascade of efficient oxidation reactions via a number of mechanisms including: surface mediated oxidation, direct oxidation and free radical oxidation. These reactions destroy a range of contaminants and can be propagated in the presence of RegenOx for periods of up to 30 days on a single injection. RegenOx produces minimal heat and is highly compatible with follow-on enhanced bioremediation applications.
