The old standard of impacted soil excavation and disposal is an important item in the remediation tool box. Remington has three highly experienced excavators and the equipment required to conduct excavations and disposal. For the past several years, we have conducted excavations ranging from 1,000 cubic yards to 40,000 cubic yards.

In addition, we are a leader in utilizing remedial material backfill in the smear zone when the excavation intersects the water table. The application of remedial material in this scenario eliminates the distribution issue associated with injection so the remedial material can have the maximum impact. The use of COGAC™ in this application has been especially effective as we have utilized over 700,000 pounds of the material in this application. Applications of the material include large Industrial Facilities, Air Force Bases, UST Sites and Oil Field release sites.
